Jay A. Tavarez
CEO
Jay purchased the assets of Astrobond Rubber Molding Co. in 1983, and changed its name to CT Industries, Inc. He initially took care of the operations side of the business while his partner at the time handled sales. After buying-out his partner, in 1984, Jay took over full responsibility of the company. Since that time, he has overseen the growth of the company, with the help of his executive management team.
Prior to starting CT Industries, Jay was involved in domestic and international employee relations with NL Industries. There he oversaw all human relations duties in the company’s Latin American and Pacific operations. Prior to this he worked for the State of Texas and the U.S. Government in various capacities. |

Rafael Tavarez
President
Rafael brings his discipline and training from the military and law enforcement to CT Industries. He has eight years of military service in the USMC and USMC Reserves plus three years experience in law enforcement as a certified Peace Officer in Dallas, Texas. His knowledge of the military has proven very beneficial in supplying products and working with this market.
For the past seven years with CT Industries, Rafael has also gained experience
in the rubber industry by holding different positions and working with various departments at the company. Today he is a key factor in the continue growth
of the company. |

David Zedaker
General Manager
David has been employed with CT Industries since 1998. He has 20+ years of experience in the custom elastomer molding industry. During his two decades in the business, he was held various quality related positions and served the automotive, military, oilfield and general industrial markets.
As an ASQ certified Quality Engineer, David understands the principles of product and service quality evaluation and control. His knowledge and applied technologies include the development and operation of quality control systems, application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures, the ability to use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices, and the knowledge and ability to develop and administer management information systems and to audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
General Manager
Provide direction and support for all departments (except sales) to accomplish monthly, quarterly or yearly company goals.Coordinate and facilitate the interaction between departments. Establish parameters to maintain the ISO 9001:2000 certification program. Provide focus and improvement on product quality and delivery.
Coordinate and maintain the informational technology system. |

Steve Bemis
Engineering Project Manager
Steve has worked in the molded rubber products industry for more that two decades in both engineering and manufacturing management roles.
In the 11 years that he has worked with CT Industries, Steve's experience has led to streamlining administration and production activities, including the development of numerous systems that increased labor efficiencies and reduced lead times.
Steve began his career with a major automotive supplier where he was hired as a product development engineer. Through the years, his talent and industry experience led to positions as a product engineer, sales engineer, technical service manager and production manager
Engineering Project Manager
The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for product quoting including the development of raw material and product costing. He controls the development and design of all new products including raw material and component specifications, process specifications and procedures and specification control. He is responsible for all manufacturing process and product improvements and facilities engineering and creation of Raw material, component, process and procedure specifications. Steve's responsibilities include all customers related and internal engineering needs. |

J.R. Bermudez
Administrative Manager
J.R. had a distinguished 20-year career in the U.S. Army before joining
CT Industries. While in the army, he served his country as an operations
and intelligence assistant, recruiter/station commander and patriot missile
platoon sergeant.
After a short time with the Census Bureau as both a payroll clerk and administration/selection supervisor, J.R. joined CT Industries in 2000. Here his background has proven very valuable as a scheduler in customer service and currently in his role as administration manager and has manifested itself in more streamlined office procedures and exceptional high levels ofcustomer satisfaction.

E.E. (Butch) Stocker
Production Manager
Butch has a 30+ year career in the molded-rubber products industry.
He began in Denver, Colorado as a lab technician. He held that position
until he transferred to Houston in 1984, as a product engineer.
CT Industries hired butch in 1998, as a product engineer. In 2005, he was promoted to plant manager of the company’s facility in Pinehurst. As part of his responsibilities as plant manager, Butch helped develop and implement systems which allowed CT Industries to receive its ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2006.
Plant Manager
Responsible for plant operation and maintenance as well as the establishment of plant policies and procedures. Butch's skill and dedication to training his staff has consistently resulted in exceeding of company goals for his department. Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe plant
- Establish and direct plant policies and procedures
